A friend wrote this last night and I thought it was just wonderful, so I wanted to share her thoughts with you today re: the meanings of the word congratulations, and the ideas of encouragement, and the power of words.

“In the past few weeks I have been getting a lot of messages in my DM congratulating me so I decided to write on the topic CONGRATULATIONS LoL

Let’s hit to the point: what’s the meaning of congratulations?

Congratulations! A word that brings a smile to our faces and warms our hearts. But what does it truly mean? To congratulate someone is to express joy and approval for their achievements, whether big or small. It’s a way to show that we recognize and appreciate their efforts, and to share in their happiness. Congratulations can come in many forms – a simple “congrats” or a more elaborate message of praise. But no matter how it’s expressed, the sentiment is the same – a heartfelt acknowledgement of a job well done.

And what is the power of congratulations? It’s not just a pat on the back, but a source of motivation and inspiration. When we congratulate someone, we validate their accomplishments and encourage them to keep striving for more. It’s a way to spread positivity and uplift others. So let’s not hesitate to extend our congratulations to those around us. Let’s celebrate their successes and acknowledge their efforts, and let’s do so with sincerity and enthusiasm. After all, we never know how much our words of encouragement might mean to someone else!”

To all the readers out there, if you have not heard this word lately: Congratulations on your accomplishments and endeavors!   I love to say that being positive and encouraging is a win-win.  Plus, nothing infuriates negative people more, than positivity.  But, they cannot help being affected by it and even the ones that have heads made of solid brick, will think about this later and get positive.  Ergo, the win-win. 😊
