Sitting here tonight thinking about the movie Hero and Chinese calligraphy. In the movie, there is a character that symbolizes the warrior using even a blade of grass, and then growth, and finally being at peace in life. I liken this to the coffee shop – at first, I bought all the coffee and merchandise, then with time, just coffee, and now – one small coffee with three free refills and I am happy as a clam.
I guess what I’m trying to say, is that magic and growth are hidden everywhere – just in the places you least expect to find it. I am also thinking that by this point I should be writing copy for taco chains. You only have three ingredients and shells to work with to make them magic for consumers. I have the coffee shop, Mr. Blackbird, stale nachos and some other things, and have done quite well. Hm…
It recently occurred to me that perspective is important. All the fun, smart stuff I put out here om my site, paled by comparison to a picture of Badger – my parent’s Spaniel. I got more views off the picture of this dog, with no caption or words, than I ever did from sharing what I know. It was a humbling, and sobering day, that day I can tell you.

So I ordered some Blind Man Society business cards that are here in another couple days, and they have my favorite photo on them -please see below. An incendiary business card, for incendiary times, you say?

Finally, tonight is just one of those nights where I feel like a sponge trying to migrate. For those of you familiar with ocean sponges, they don’t move very much. And, as the movie Ghostbusters taught us, the mass undersea unexplained sponge migration of 1.5 feet was quite a phenomenon.
So, I will leave this blog here for tonight. I am hanging up my keyboard for the evening, holstering the finger guns, and just talking with people for the rest of the evening. I hope everyone is well, out there around the world, and as always, thank you for reading and please feel free to leave a comment in the box below!
