The Blind Man Society

So I decided today, that whatever I write following my last ill-advised blog entitled: The Call of the Whoop-ass Bird, had better be pretty darn interesting, and pretty darn GOOD. Whatever minor literary reputation I’ve developed over time is a little dinged up now as a result of that post – but…it was so fun, I’ll just take the black eye.

Did you know, that after that post, people were actually walking around saying Whoop! Whoop! Whoop!?!?! I’m laughing as I type this but its true. I was looking skyward myself that day, but there were no confirmed sightings of this highly elusive bird. This leads me to conclude, that maybe the Whoop-ass bird, is more a state of mind… 🙂

Things here at the Blind Man Society are running smoothly right now. Mugs are being looked at for printing, logos are being designed, and a contributing writer page is being worked on. I’m still trying to figure out how to assemble this without the templates. I think, that I’ll be bumping up to business level for the website in the coming days, and that should help with a pay option from the site for merchandise…I think PayPal handles this when its all said and done.

As it stands, I’m going to have the merchandise out on Facebook marketplace and ship from where I live – to start. This will ensure that there are no screw-ups with delivery to readers, because from what I can tell there is a fair amount of interest in this. I’m also going to invest in an image company membership, since I’m running out of things to photograph locally to support stories!

I’ve also started doing video readings on Facebook of some of the blogs to drum up visibility and this seems to be growing in popularity – so we are all very optimistic and happy here right now.
