The Blind Man Society

Today, I’m sitting here listening to music at the coffee shop and realizing fast that a couple up-tempo songs, and this party could get out of control. Quickly. So, I’m turning the music down and addressing the topics of the day. Magic, and Twix candy bars.

My favorite kind of magic, is not really magic at all. Its when things work out as they should. This is something I always bear in mind whenever things are terrible or toxic. It helps me to weather the storms where I live, the world and life in general. Positivity and making people happy is not so plastic or fake as some people suggest when you do it for long periods of time. I have learned in my short time on this planet the following:

Positivity is infectious. It’s like dominos that kids set up – these intricate patterns and creations that are so cool to look at, but nothing is more fun than starting the chain reaction and watching them all get knocked over slowly. To me, that’s what positivity does out there. So, I always try to be this way with people as much as I can.

Nothing honks negative people off more, than positivity. And, they lose either way. What I mean by this, is that they get cheered up no matter how angry or negative they are. And, even if they don’t and put up a wall and pretend like they don’t hear you, and certainly don’t agree – they think about it after the encounter is over. And, sometimes…they smile and spread.

On to the Twix bars. After serious introspection this morning, I have concluded that my game when I was younger was – two for me, none for you. As I’ve grown up a little, I have realized, that maybe the reason there are TWO candy bars in the pack – is so you can share them with someone you like and talk some life. (To me, it seems like this was almost a maturity test measuring stick too. At what age, did you stop thinking about you only, and start sharing with others, which may or may not have been what they had in mind…) And, get mood managed by very decadent chocolate and caramel at the same time.

Another short time, but a good time today. I hope that EVERYONE out there, no matter where you may be, has a phenomenal day!
