Random thoughts…

Lately I’ve been thinking about the idea of building mysteries. History has demonstrated that its far easier to destroy than to create. It also is far easier to solve mysteries, than to make them for people. Some mysteries, seem to be random, naturally occurring things out there. Some, seem to be man-made. Personally, I don’t think we’ll ever run out of mysteries out there, but I was playing with the idea of what would happen, if we all took some time off to make mysteries for the new generations of children out there to solve when they are older.

Following this train of thought, where would the mysteries be hidden? In one of my favorite books, Pale Fire by Vladimir Nabokov, the crown jewels are hidden in the poem. People re-read this book five times and they don’t find them, because they are hidden in plain view. And, I guess that’s where I’m headed with this. We as a people seem to be wizards at creating hidden things to be discovered. And, solving things as well. But, as best I can tell, we always hide them in art or other places to be discovered. What if, we hid them in the last place you would ever look…plain view, out here in the world. I think, that might be the hardest to figure out.

So, on to the mass undersea unexplained sponge migration. In the movie Ghostbusters, where I got that from, they migrate a whole foot and a half. And, its a real big deal. Carrying this idea over, small steps in my opinion, are sometimes huge for the individual. They don’t look very impressive, but forward motion is forward motion on the game board. I myself, am working on all kinds of writings right now and I’ve hit a weightlifter’s plateau. I’ve gone for a month without moving up in weight really, but when things kick in, I’m going forward many steps – and this will hopefully extend to my writing on this site, and the book of short stories I’m working on.

Good things are coming, and I wanted to sincerely thank everyone that views this site and the people who have subscribed to it. Thanks to all of you, we are on to Season 2 now and slowly gaining traction out there. People from over 20 countries have viewed this site, and there are well over 500 all time views so far. A very sincere thank you, to all!

Have a great day everyone and thank you for taking the time to read what I and others have shared so far. We are trying to keep this material brief, to the point and very readable because we know that all of you are very busy out there! Best wishes for a GREAT day, wherever you may be…
