Tonight, on my 52nd birthday I’m thinking about my girlfriend, and the next nice thing I’m going to say to her. I’m going to tell her that if space aliens ever land on earth and declare that they want to be taken to our leader, that I’m going to direct them to her, and that she had better get her notes and responses ready fast….

Per the above photo, I was walking over to the shop this evening, and evading local radar. I cannot tell if I was moving too fast – or slowly, for it to pick up my speed! Now that I’ve had too much caffeine I’ll be moving a little more quickly on the way home, and cannot wait to see what it registers at. There’s police all over the place tonight, and I am governing my walking pace accordingly.

I’m sitting here listening to George Baker’s song Little Green Bag tonight, and thinking about all kinds of things. The guy in the below photo and I had one of the best life talks in recorded history last night and discussed so much of consequence that we both felt physically overloaded. It was a terrific talk involving gangsters, golf courses, hourglasses, jazz, blue notes, Africa, lions, Great White Sharks, the list goes on. As a result, everything today on my actual birthday felt a bit anti-climactic! What a great start to the next trip around the sun.

I have begun work on a book which is why I haven’t been blogging much and this is turning out to be a great experience. I won’t really talk much about it in future blogs, so there’s no added pressure, but the cover photo being used is the below:

The working title is: This Is My Doghouse, Here I Dwell. I’m three chapters in so far, and this has been a lot of fun, and a great learning experience. One of the things I really love about this, is that you can put people you know in all kinds of interesting settings and as very memorable characters. Just for fun, I made a couple friends, attendants at Mr. Sudz Laundromat, and I’m playing around with incorporating Medicine Men and Shamans as well.

In re-reading what I’ve written for the 20th time, I’m deciding that this blog is very disjointed, and not flowing well, so I’m going to call it an evening. Its been so long since I’ve cranked one out that I needed to knock the rust off. And its very noticeable, I know. It should take me two or three blogs to be back to the old levels. But, thank you so much for your continued support of The Blind Man Society – more great writing is coming. I hope everyone has a fantastic Friday out there, wherever you may be, and as always, please feel free to leave a comment in the box below!
