I left this one random thoughts, interpretive, and stream of consciousness…I’ve been sick lately and my head is just in the clouds…maybe this is just interpretive to ME. LOL!! Its hard to say. 🙂

Over at the shop tonight, and I’m thinking about six mile walks in 106 degree heat vs. driving with the air conditioning on. I have concluded after careful consideration that cars with air conditioning are the superior choice. MAN, this was a hot one today!

It seems like when we are younger, we have smaller circles of friends and cannot wait to grow them. Older, we have very large groups of people we know but it takes most of our time and energy to maintain them, and then when we are even older they shrink again. It’s almost like a reverse hourglass. Hm.

More random thoughts….

I’m thinking back to being on a date at an Irish pub, years ago – and there was this house band. Everyone was calling out requests for songs, and the song Erector Set Girl was played. Which, to distill, was about building the perfect woman – and part of it, was that she drank like a fish.

We used to joke when we found a really good one, that we would love to cryogenically freeze her for a year or two – go be infantile little boys in our lives and then come back, thaw her out and marry her. SOMETIMES, this happens in my experience. I suspect I will get blasted off the face of the earth for this portion of my post. 🙂

(What I’m really saying in the above, and it is meant in good fun, is that I don’t understand the timing of meeting perfect people for you, when you are not anywhere CLOSE to being ready for them. ???)

But, it all happens for a reason I think… And, yes at one point I was bound for the freezer too.

Halfway through the blog, and got a wicked case of writers block. So, sitting here doing what I do best – writing a bunch of words that make little to no sense, and hoping for the best until it passes!

That said, I’m also thinking about Citizen Kane style memories…and how we remember the oddest things in life. We remember certain people that we just saw walk by one day, and never forget them our entire lives. Why is this? What is it about certain people and events, places and things that we never forget? What makes them “forget-proof?” Hm.

Ugh – having a hard time remembering everything I just came up with this morning. As I type this, I’m remembering the movie Strange Brew (please see the title photo, credit goes to the movie and actors). And, my favorite circle of all circles – the donut. Perhaps one of THESE will help refresh my memory?

Have a great day everyone, wherever you may be, and please feel free to leave comments in the box below!
