Well, people laughed pretty hard at my roommate getting stiff-armed during one of the latest blogs. I myself laughed all day long until he read it that night. SO, this is the payback edition on his behalf.
A slight dramatization: My roommate walked up after reading this blog and put me in a headlock with one hand, holding a frying pan in the other. He was tapping me on the head with it, and I was getting dizzy. I exclaimed “Thank you sir! May I have another! WHAP!!! Thank you sir! May I have another! WHAP! He then released me, and walked away laughing. I myself was in the land between this and that. Here and there. And, during this time of going farther and seeing more, I came up with this blog. Here we go…
Today, I’m writing about the idea of taking breaks from being too serious about things. We often joke that at this point, we could blast our way out of a major hostile city with humor and positivity. But Jonathan! I fell down the stairs, and while I was not hurt, what does it all mean? You got there faster. But I see no light! You are the light. Oh, Ok! Making people smile is not an easy business. Nor, keeping them positive when things are REALLY going wrong. To those who do this, all I can say is please keep going. Because, while it can be a thankless job at times, we need these positivity wizards in the world more than ever these days!

I have encountered many positivity wizards out there who know a secret. Even if you get a negative response from spreading positivity, the heads made of solid brick will think about it later. So really, in addition to instant cheering up, its planting seeds. And, I have learned that it works very well. Some days I wake up, am nice to people and wind up being public enemy number one somehow. I have concluded that the weather, the news, and the daily grind do these things through no fault of our own. People can get mighty angry if things are going too well for others, so knowing the balance is mighty important too. And, of course, my good friends the space aliens who have untold power over the whole thing and some days REALLY don’t seem to like me. 🙂

If only there were books to show us the way on spreading unbridled positivity out there. Hm. eBay is the cheapest place I know of to find books on positivity, positive music and all things good mood. Internet these days, is like our own personal magic book. We sit down to a blank screen, and whatever we want suddenly appears. So, I am appealing to all of you, to use this power wisely – much like first aid, make sure YOU are taken care of, and then if you have some time on your hands later, go forward and spread some good vibes. Smiles are the universal language above all others…so please remember to flash that smile ALL the time.
Sometimes I sit and think about the power of our spoken words, our body language and other variables. Some people can walk into a room and light the place up. People just feel better when they are there. Maybe they are a good listener, maybe they are just happy people. Either way, if you have friends like this – watch them a short while and see what they do. Simple things.
I’m going to end this blog on a high note, and thank you for reading! Many people are sneaking a look from work, and other areas that dictate a fast read – which is part of the reason that I write these blogs the way I do. We get in, get the info, and get out, and on to our lives once more. And, I’ll leave you with one of my favorite pictures of all time below. Thank you again, and have a fantastic day, wherever you may be out there! Please feel free to leave comments in the box below.
