The Blind Man Society

I’ve been sitting here running after this title, trying to come up with content and picture that is title appropriate. This is one of my favorite photos, and ALSO a good picture to remember when you encounter the occasional snafu out there in the world. Also, I’ve got Dance of the Sugarplum Fairy in my head, and just cannot shake it – ergo, the title of this blog.

This picture may actually come down because of the middle finger salute this woman has, but again, it was too funny to pass up. 🙂 I apologize in advance to anyone who may be offended!

I hope everyone had a safe, fun and healthy holiday season this year. I myself, played a lot of guitar, drank a lot of alcohol and opened a few presents as well. I saw the fireworks show through my windows for New Years, and I had to remind myself that really, I have two starts to the new year. My birthday is in November, and I usually begin my year from there. However, if it’s not the best start, I shift to New Year’s and go from there instead. Having a fall back is invaluable, I think.

I’ve got a good new adventure coming up soon! I went shopping for a ton of things over the last couple days, and will be backpacking and camping – though, whether this is urban, suburban, or in the wild – between the local car wash and a housing development, I cannot say at this time. But, its going to be great ammunition for the next couple blogs. I spoke with Blowtorch Lady and she is interested in doing another blog as well, coming soon!

I read something pretty great the other day, and it wasn’t the usual feel good closing story on the news. There are two pandas in Washington DC now, ala when Chairman Mao gave President Nixon Sing Sing and Ling Ling back decades ago. Bao Li, and Quin Bao are the newest pandas in DC, and you can see them starting on (I think) January 24th, 2025. Is that cool, or what? As for the Jonathan exhibit, it was closed over the holidays for remodeling. Please check back in Spring of 2025…

Finally, I got to use my FAVORITE line of all time recently. I’ve been saving this one for the right combination of conversation. Unspecified person: Jonathan, is that you? Me: Yes! Them: Are you sure its you? Me: Are you suggesting that I am not who I SAY, I am? AND, re-holster the finger guns.

Short time but a good time today, more great blogs are coming soon. In my eyes, the title picture is worth the price of admission for this post, as my writing got rusty fast from the latest hiatus. I took a break from blogging again as you know, since I was just BURNT out on writing over the holidays and needed to recharge and sharpen up again.
