The Blind Man Society

This is a short time, but a good time today.  There will be no Pez Dispenser wisdom, nor fortune cookie information in this blog. Additionally, I cannot post the meme that goes with this story due to potential copyright violations aplenty.  But, it is on Facebook as a post of mine.

I’m thinking about the Movie Monty Python and the Holy Grail. I picture this movie a lot when I’m walking, especially the part where Lancelot is running and charging towards the castle to storm it alone. He seems to be running fast, but never QUITE gets there. He’s just on a loop. People are calm.

That’s about how I feel when I walk to this new coffee shop in the mornings. I swear its like I’m on a moving sidewalk backwards when I stop. Over 400 miles I walked in the last two months, and am now ready to thumb a ride, I think. THEN I’ll be able to storm the coffee shop via running. LOL!!! And, when I finally launch into fast forward, speed ordering coffee, stiff arming customers, laying out the map to reveal….THE PLAN, and scoring a few phone numbers…there’s just no stopping me.

The point to this post I guess, is that plateaus SUCK.

Got a very nice note from Blowtorch Lady, and will be asking her to write another blog soon. I moved recently, and now live an hour away from her.  I actually found one of the blowtorches she uses for sale at a convenience store not long ago. I got the same look in my eyes as I did the first time I freestyled a blanket fort at university – and I was CLOSE. Real close to buying it. I’d use it for lighting my cigarettes out on the town, with some real panache – to heck with my Zippo lighter.

I am slammed with work these days, and that’s why its taking me so long to post blogs right now.  Work continues at The Blind Man Society mad scientist labs for an updated website. Someone recently suggested, it should be called Muppet Labs. Hm. Personally I like ACME Labs better – home of Pinky and The Brain. There’s a writing competition I’m doing a story for, a short story book in the works, side jobs, and some other things currently.  Also, I’m always on the lookout for contributing writers still – for anyone interested, this site might be good ammunition for your resume?
