**Disclaimer: Blowtorch Lady is not working at the shop today, and did not proof this post. Nobody did but me – and this could be a good, or very BAD thing…
I posted this morning on Facebook, and someone made the comment that I needed a rug to really “tie the room together” ala The Big Lebowski. I responded that the circular stairwell leading to the second floor loft was the rug, and that Wu, would not be making off with it anytime soon, thankfully.
This has got me thinking about a number of things. Mainly, how to tie this blogging “room” together before I move on to the next one – which is, the rest of the conversation topics under construction on this site.
I’m looking back at all the posts on The Blind Man Society, and there’s over 30. I’m trying to figure out which of the posts is the “rug”. Maybe this post is the rug. And, here’s why. In my last post I launched off about building mysteries for the future and for kids. I made the comments that we are experts at hiding mysteries and meanings in art mediums. And, I concluded it might be pretty great to hide them in plain view out here in the world, because next to nobody does this. So, here’s my stab at it.
Recently a friend and I were talking about assigning numbers to letters. Each of the numbers, and the sequences of the numbers had meaning beyond 1-26, and A-Z. So, certain letters or combinations in words, meant something a little more than just the words. And, these are hidden in spoken language. I guess, this also qualifies as in plain view, considering that every person on the planet speaks in some way.
Taking this idea a bit further, I’m currently wondering what the letter and word combinations are for each of the posts I’ve released so far. I wonder what they all mean?
On one hand, I decided that all these posts are just paints on a palette. My opinion, is that we use what we learn, and read to go forward and not only add to our own knowledge, but to take things to the next level, creatively and philosophically in our own way. Hopefully, some of these colors have been of interest to readers.
On the other hand, I’m wondering what the colors are. There’s a saying concerning the idea of “Interesting Grey.” Take any three primary colors, mix them, and you get grey. But, the strongest of the three colors tinges through the grey and adds to it. So, you could conceivably head to the Blind Man Society blog post library, pick three, and mix them together. Which of the three, tinges through? You KNOW you are thinking about my illicit spiritual drugs post…
And, when it’s all done – the wave subsides. Robert Johnson recorded a set number of songs in his short career. As I mentioned in the last blog post, we are now on to Season 2 and I’m about done sharing Circle and Hourglass Philosophy. Many of you, are experiencing night terrors from these ideas by this point I think – I’m also laughing as I write this – and so, it’s time to change things up.
So how do I change it up? WELL. Today, in the parlance of our times, I’m remembering giving a cat the Heimlich Maneuver. He was thankful.
