The Blind Man Society

Hello everyone, I’m sitting at the coffee shop and have a quick and simple blog post to share today!

Today, I’m standing outside in the wind with a smile.  I raise a lighter to my cigarette, inhale and feel the heat flash in the back of my throat.  Exhaling through my mouth and nose, I relight the lighter and with my hand, motion all of you to come and gather around the fire.  I’ve got a story to tell…

So this year’s NYE was interesting.  I myself, spent it sitting in a field with a couple cans of Dos Equis beer, watching the fireworks show and listening to automatic gunfire.  People emptied clip after clip into the sky, and I found it strangely calming and a great way to start my 2024…

While sitting out there under six stars and moon, I started thinking about a theory – and it surrounded the idea of formulas in life. 

The first formula I’m thinking about is what seems to be THE approach to life.

First – jou get de money. Den – jou get de power. Den – jou get de women.  That formula seems time honored and true to me.  I shared this one with Blowtorch Lady, and she concurred.

The next formula, is about what makes a good rock video.

First – you take hot women.  Then – you take multiple explosions.  Then – you include fast cars.  As a final optional touch, you could take your guitar, sling it on your back, grab a rope and crash through a window.  Only to land on the ground, and start playing some great riffs in the courtyard.

The final formula is this.  First – Ego. Then – Super-ego. Then – Id.  The television show Seinfeld covered this one well with the characters of Jerry, George and Kramer.  THIS ONE, I’m going to leave interpretive, because if you’ve ever seen the show – it really speaks for itself. 

My point, highly elusive though it may be – and it is to me too, right now by the way – is that it seems to me that there are many hidden formulas out there in the world. Hourglasses too.  And, I’m sitting here thinking furiously about them.  I wonder if you would share some of yours?  Please feel free to leave a comment in the below box, and have a fantastic day everyone!
